Some new styles and approaches

These drawings included are stylistic, action poses, drawing from observation, some from imagination alone. One is even from watching a show and drawing while it was going.

Mostly these began with pencil on paper. Some were inked with pen. On the right side of the 4th image and 2/3 of the final image were done using digital media start to... as finished as shown.

Some programs used were Photoshop, AstroPad, Paper 53 and even Duet. One cool workflow offered now is to take something off your device (like an Ipad) and share it through Adobe's Cloud. This easily integrates with their desktop suite. Alternatives are Dropbox, Airmail and when all these let you down just use email. I try to avoid collaboration using iTunes and Photos due to the indexing and compression methods. Maybe a technically brilliant person can some day enlighten me how to find the Davinci Code or Golden ration to make all technology harmonious.

Since the last blog entry there has been a lot of good things accomplished. 4 major updates to the demo reel including the new content and some fairly big changes. Still prospecting potential studios to work with. Unless something connects in the next week or two, I will make plans to attend Siggraph in Anaheim again this year. This is one of the only venues where I can get direct feedback and criticisms from hiring managers. To me this is SUPER valuable.

Ideally I will find gainful work as a character animator using Maya Autodesk. Another great connection would be a storyboard artist. If you follow this blog and know of something like this please send me a note. There is a contact tab on the site.

Thank you again for enjoying this blog. Have an excellent day!
